IRC Trivia Bot News! - August 2010

TriviaBot v10 mIRC Unicode update information.

We are currently working on updating TriviaBot v10 Beta for mIRC 7.1. We expect to have an updated installer available by the end of the month.

[Bug fixes include]

• All dialogs have been updated to fix the new Unicode format. All Pixel dialogs have been converted over to DBU to remove the differences in resolution size, everyone will see the same dialog now regardless of what monitor they are using

Installer Update

Due to mIRC's User and distribution policy. We are unable to release TriviaBot pre-installed as we have with all of our past releases. The new installer will be very simple, but the initial setup might be a pain in the but to some people who aren't completely computer savvy. We try to have staff available 24-7 on our irc network NothingButStyle IRC

Slots Updates

• SuperSlots has had the odds raised significantly.
• MegaSlots has had the odds raised significantly.
• Updated rewards settings. "If we have time we will be adding a new dialog to allow the bot master to control the amount of the rewards."

Remote Access Level Dialog update

• New Remote Access Level dialog to replace the original backwards dialog. "Still don't know how this past our initial testing with out being noticed LoL, but it did and has been corrected."
• Remote Access Level dialog's now only have two options for the trigger text. Either Notice or Channel. Checking both boxes enables the remote commands to be access via notice, private message, or in channel windows.

Color Menus

• New dialog for the color's menu.
• New feature to enable/disable all colors
• New feature to reset all colors to the default settings.
• We are working on adding a new dialog to replace all of the old dialogs. This might be in a future release as it requires extensive work to complete and we just don't have the time to do it right now."
